LIMS Consultant (Post-Sales Implementation)
Remote within USA


Overview
As a LIMS Consultant on our Professional Services team, you’ll play a key role in supporting customers post-sale, with a focus on implementing our next-generation LIMS platform, Labbit. Drawing on your expertise in laboratory science and informatics, you’ll serve as a dedicated consultant, working directly with customers to understand their needs, configure solutions, and ensure the successful implementation and adoption of our product.

This role spans consultation, requirements gathering, documentation, LIMS configuration, validation testing, support ticket resolution, and light project management. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with our implementation and customer success teams to deliver high-quality solutions tailored to each customer’s unique workflows. In some cases, you may also support customer projects outside of Labbit. To succeed in this role, you should thrive on becoming a reliable partner to our customers while managing smooth, high-quality implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary scientific and technical contact for customers during implementation projects
  • Utilize technical and domain expertise to understand client needs and translate them into solution designs, software requirements, and implementation plans
  • Create scope estimates and/or feature development requests for Implementation teams 
  • Configure LIMS to meet user requirements
  • Create test plans and execute testing to ensure that the configured system meets client needs
  • Lead project coordination, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and expectations are clearly communicated and met
  • Develop customer-facing documentation and provide training to support the adoption
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing customer insights and informing product development.
  • Share customer insights to inform continuous improvement and product development


Must Haves

  • Strong background in Life Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or related field), with hands-on lab or LIMS experience.
  • Familiarity with configuring scientific software or laboratory workflows, including scripting (e.g., Python), JSON, and SQL for data handling.
  • Knowledge of analytical workflows, particularly in Quality testing.
  • Proven ability to work directly with customers, translating technical and domain-specific needs into practical software solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience coordinating tasks and timelines across teams.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can educate, support, and build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fast learner with a solutions-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience implementing LIMS, LES,  ELNs, or related lab informatics platforms.
  • Previous experience in a professional services, consulting, or project-based customer role.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and Agile teams.
