Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Python Developer in Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
* Python Developer will design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise software applications and backend services
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, and production support
* Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions
* Analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and stability
* Build and maintain scalable software solutions in a cloud-based environment
* Analyze complex business and technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions
* Develop high-quality, maintainable, and reusable code following established development standards
* As a Python Developer, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
* Investigate and resolve production issues through monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
* Create and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, and solution designs
* Support automated deployment and release processes across development, testing, and production environments
* Provide effort estimates, technical recommendations, and impact assessments for proposed changes
* Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of software development experience using Python
* Strong experience with data processing and automation frameworks
* Experience developing applications in cloud environments
* Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
* Experience using Git or similar version control systems
* Experience with application monitoring, logging, and observability tools
* Understanding of Agile development methodologies
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and software delivery processes
* Proficiency working within Linux and Windows environments
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with relational and analytical databases
* Experience building automation solutions and operational tooling
* Knowledge of data warehousing and large-scale data processing concepts
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
