Job description

Job Title: AI Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 6+ Months (Extension Possible)

 Xoriant reasonably expects the pay rate for this position to be within the following range: $70/hr-$80/hr.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

  • Client-Embedded Execution: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with strategic enterprise customers to deploy AI capabilities directly into their live production systems.
  • AI System Integration: Build and scale Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, multi-agent orchestrations, and API integrations connecting LLMs to internal databases and enterprise software.
  • Evaluations & Optimization: Create testing and evaluation frameworks to minimize hallucinations, measure model performance, track observability, and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Feedback Loop: Translate custom client deployment hurdles and recurring field requirements back into core product and model roadmaps.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Engineering Stack: 3–5+ years of software development experience using Python, TypeScript, and SQL alongside full-stack system design.
  • AI Tooling: Hands-on experience with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, HuggingFace, vector databases, and model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with deploying secure workloads via AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and Kubernetes within client environments.
