Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available, and high-performance software systems.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-tested, and reusable Python code following software engineering best practices.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services and serverless architectures.
  • Build and support event-driven architectures using message queues, topics, and asynchronous processing patterns.
  • Design and optimize NoSQL database solutions, including DynamoDB, and work with relational databases such as MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda, ECS, and AWS Step Functions.
  • Implement software design patterns and architecture best practices to create maintainable solutions.
  • Follow best practices for source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
  • Define, package, and deploy cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and meet project objectives.
  • Manage project priorities, timelines, and deliverables while contributing to team meetings and technical discussions.
  • Create technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity.
  • Support deployment and management of applications in Kubernetes environments.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience developing production applications using Python.
  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience designing and developing solutions using NoSQL databases (DynamoDB).
  • Experience with relational databases such as MSSQL and PostgreSQL is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building serverless applications using AWS Lambda, ECS, and Step Functions.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and distributed application design.
  • Experience with Git, unit testing, test-driven development (TDD), and CI/CD practices.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes deployment and cloud infrastructure management preferred.
  • Experience with AWS CDK and infrastructure-as-code practices preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI application development using platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, or Azure AI preferred.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools such as LangChain, vector databases, PyTorch, or TensorFlow preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, estimation, and demos.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with media file formats, video engineering, or media processing systems is a plus.
