Job Description

Essential Functions:

    Create Automation Test Plan and Test strategy documents

    Design, develop and implement automation testing flows and scripts

    Develops suitable test techniques using an automated approach

    Aids in identifying tests that are good candidates for automation. Identifies approaches for risk-based testing for each feature or scope of work in a project effort and prioritizes test execution in order to test high risk/high impact scenarios first

    Design and develop common and reusable code components

    Develop SQL queries to meet the business scenarios to drive automation tests as needed

    Implement automation to aid in regression testing and the demonstration of Features developed and validated in sprints, as required

    Sets up software and hardware in the test lab, per specs

    Ensures test results are accurate, thorough and appropriately documented

    Support the expansion of Continuous Integration by integrating automation suites with tools such as GIT and Jenkins

    Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience

    4+ years of progressive work experience as an automation tester

    At least one year of experience working in an Agile environment

    Must have strong knowledge of SDLC with an emphasis on testing methodologies

    Must have strong knowledge of Defect Management life cycle

    Must have scripting experience in any or all of the following: JavaScript, Python, VBScript

    Ability to develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts as needed

    Should have solid work experience with testing management tools, concepts and have a solid knowledge of automated testing tools

    Thorough understanding of the business process(s) and flows involved in the system capabilities being tested

    Thoroughly understands As-Is and To-Be business processes to understand what's changing

    Ability to communicate with the business in business language and with developers in technical language

    Must have strong PC skills and demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite products

    Must have the ability to extract data utilizing moderately complex SQL queries

    Ability to read logical and physical data models and understands the relationship between various tables

    Ability to clearly identify data needs and requirements for the respective test efforts

    Ability to identify high risk/critical impact deliverables and prioritize them accordingly

  Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience
