DevOps Engineer

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud", but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop container management software to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges.

As a lead automation engineer supportingmission-critical naval platforms, you will apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technicalexpertiseto deliver reliable and scalable automation solutions. In this role, you will guide automation strategy, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a technical lead for CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps maturity efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and maintain automation capabilitiesleveragingAnsible and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to ensure stable,secure, and efficient deployment pipelines supporting mission-forward naval programs.

You'll work with your team to recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll gain DevOps skills and experience while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:

• 6+ years of experience IT, automation or computer systems support
• Experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving automation issues
• Experience with automation for CI/CD builds, regression testing, monitoring, or pipelines
• Experience in automation using Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Experience with operating systems such as RHEL and Windows
• Experience with virtualization, including VMware
• Experience supporting DoD or government agencies
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience designing and implementing scalable, efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
• Experience with application containerization
• Experience modeling network configurations in JSON or YAML
• Experience with network automation using Python or Ansible
• TS/SCI clearance
• Master's degree in STEM

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
