Job description

Sr. Data Analytics Engineer 10874

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the modernization of its enterprise data platform. This individual will evaluate, design, and implement a scalable data warehouse architecture while consolidating legacy reporting systems into a governed, centralized environment.

This is a hands-on technical role responsible for building and owning the organization's analytics platform, data pipelines, governance framework, and Power BI reporting environment. The position will partner with internal stakeholders and external resources during a knowledge transfer period before assuming full ownership of the function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and implement a modern cloud data platform (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or similar).
  • Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from multiple ERP and business systems.
  • Develop scalable data models and establish enterprise data standards and governance.
  • Standardize reporting using Power BI and retire legacy reporting tools.
  • Manage data security, access controls, and documentation.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, reusable reporting solutions.
  • Support ERP initiatives and integration of newly acquired business units.
Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of analytics or data engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience building modern data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong ETL/ELT, SQL, data modeling, and Power BI expertise.
  • Experience implementing data governance and data quality practices.
  • Ability to evaluate technology platforms and recommend scalable solutions.
  • Experience working with complex, multi-source or multi-entity data environments.

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage 100, Acumatica, or similar.
  • Python or other scripting experience for automation.
  • Experience modernizing legacy data environments or bringing outsourced analytics capabilities in-house.
  • Experience in acquisition-focused or high-growth organizations.
