DevOps Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (Onsite)
Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense --Top Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
Role Overview
As a DevOps Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure. This role involves developing and maintaining automated deployment scripts and collaborating with development teams to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage a hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using technologies including Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects.
  • Track the impact of events and actions, such as patching and maintenance, on the underlying infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, RedHat OpenStack, or Nutanix.
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration.
  • Experience with a scripting language such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.

Certifications: Candidate must obtain a DoD 8570/8140 certification, such as Security+ CE or equivalent, within three months of starting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible.
  • Prior experience with a Nutanix Hyperconverged on-prem cloud platform.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Scrum Master experience is a plus
