Position Description:

Performs multi-stack software engineering using Java, Selenium, and Karate. Automates Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in an agile environment, using Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, and Stash. Uses standardized programming languages (PL/SQL) to run complex queries. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user need. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing software testing and automation, designing and implementing test frameworks, developing automated test scripts, and ensuring quality for On Premise and Cloud based Web and Application Programming Interface (API) based applications, in an agile environment.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing software testing and automation, designing and implementing test frameworks, developing automated test scripts, and ensuring quality for On Premise and Cloud based Web and Application Programming Interface (API) based applications, in an agile environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and automating test frameworks to ensure quality for on-premise, Cloud-based and Web-based microservices and API-driven applications, using Python; and deploying and orchestrating services on Kubernetes and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, using Jenkins within Agile development environments.
  • DE completing API testing for SOAP and REST Web services, using tools -- Postman, Bruno, and a Python-based automation framework (Pytest); and validating payloads in JSON or XML, and ensuring seamless integration across distributed systems through CI/CD pipelines.
  • DE defining, developing, and implementing solutions across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), using version control with Git; facilitating Sprint Planning, story tracking, test execution, and reporting through JIRA; driving testing activities using JIRA-XRAY; facilitating knowledge sharing using Confluence and Share-Point; and delivering Agile-based solutions within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • DE developing and automating tests in Unix or Linux environments, performing shell scripting for log analysis and deployment validation, and maintaining virtualized test environments, using VMware or Proxmox to ensure scalability and reliability of microservices and Cloud-based applications.
