Role Overview
MrBeast produces large-scale, high-risk content across domestic and international locations. Productions may include stunt-driven challenges, complex builds, live crowds, animals, specialty equipment, and emerging technologies.
The Head of Health & Safety is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety protocols across all production and operational environments. This role ensures the safety and well-being of team members, participants, contractors, and third parties while maintaining regulatory compliance and independent safety oversight.
The Role
As Head of Health & Safety, you will own enterprise safety strategy across productions, facilities, live environments, and international operations. This includes direct accountability for OSHA compliance and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. It also encompasses stunt and challenge risk oversight, contestant safety, vendor governance, crowd control coordination, emergency response planning, and regulatory documentation.
This role reports directly to the Chief Security Officer to centralize enterprise risk accountability. You will serve as the primary safety authority with the ability to escalate or halt unsafe activities. This role partners closely with Production, Creative, Security, Facilities, Legal, and Executive Leadership to ensure bold ideas are executed with disciplined risk management and clear operational safeguards.
What You'll Do
  • Define and lead company-wide safety strategy across production and operational environments
  • Centralize enterprise safety risk management to ensure coordinated and consistent mitigation efforts
  • Create and maintain internal Standard Operating Procedures for challenges, stunts, large gatherings, construction builds, and special events
  • Serve as the accountable leader for OSHA compliance, regulatory inspections, and adherence to all applicable safety standards across productions and facilities
  • Conduct safety assessments and risk analysis during ideation and pre-production planning
  • Integrate safety planning into set design, challenge development, and production execution
  • Oversee safety protocols for high-risk activities including stunts, heights, water, machinery, pyrotechnics, animals, aviation, and specialty equipment
  • Coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and medical personnel for complex productions
  • Work closely with Legal, Human Resources and Facilities to develop emergency response, crisis management and escalation procedures
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs and lead safety orientations for employees and contractors
  • Provide on-site safety supervision for high-risk productions
  • Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Develop safety protocols for participants and contestants, including briefings and informed consent processes
  • Coordinate with Legal on safety documentation and liability considerations
  • Establish safety requirements and oversight for contractors, vendors, and third-party partners
  • Maintain safety documentation, certification tracking, and regulatory records
  • Ensure compliance across domestic and international production environments
  • Define safety KPIs and deliver executive-level visibility into enterprise risk exposure
What You'll Bring
  • 7-10+ years of progressive production, entertainment, or high-hazard safety leadership experience
  • Experience in entertainment, film/television production, or live events
  • Background in high-risk activity safety management including stunts, construction, or pyrotechnics
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement formal safety programs and SOPs
