Our Global Sales, Services & Spares and Sustaining teams are seeking Senior Field Service Engineers I & II to join the organization at a premier customer site in North Valley, AZ. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the advanced semiconductor equipment that powers the worldโ€™s most transformative technologies. You will take the lead on complex troubleshooting, guide and mentor engineers, and strengthen partner relationships by helping customers achieve stable, highโ€‘performance fabrication environments. Your expertise will make a direct impact on tool reliability, customer satisfaction, and the next generation of manufacturing technology.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Install, maintain, and repair semiconductor equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex tool or process issues using structured diagnostic methods.
  • Perform rootโ€‘cause analysis and recommend targeted, dataโ€‘driven corrective actions.
  • Review toolโ€‘performance data to identify trends, risks, or improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance and onโ€‘theโ€‘job coaching to lessโ€‘experienced engineers.
  • Document service activities and support updates to procedures and best practices.
  • Communicate solutions, progress, and expectations clearly with customer engineers.
  • Participate in escalations alongside crossโ€‘functional internal engineering teams.
  • Serve as the senior technical lead for equipment installation, performance optimization, and recovery.
  • Diagnose and resolve highly complex, multiโ€‘factor tool and process issues with limited guidance.
  • Lead advanced rootโ€‘cause analysis and drive longโ€‘term correctiveโ€‘action plans that influence global engineering improvements.
  • Own the customerโ€‘technical relationship: build trust, anticipate operational needs, and act as the senior technical representative onsite.

What We Are Looking For

  • Handsโ€‘on experience in semiconductor field service or semiconductor capitalโ€‘equipment environments.
  • Proven ability to interpret electronic and electromechanical schematics.
  • Solid experience with structured troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cleanroom environments and semiconductor safety protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fastโ€‘paced fab environments.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  • Extensive experience in semiconductor field service with a demonstrated track record of technical leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of tool architecture, control algorithms, and multiโ€‘factor troubleshooting.

  • Proven ability to lead escalations and successfully manage customerโ€‘technical relationships.
