Job description

Chemence Medical Inc. seeks Process Engineer in Alpharetta, GA.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct lab-scale experiments for process development, including reactions, purification, solubility, and process feasibility studies (15%).
  • Provide support in the design and development of process systems, including PFDs, P&IDs, and material balances (20%).
  • Support specification, selection, and optimization of process equipment (reactors, mixing systems, distillation or purification systems) (20%).
  • Participate in pilot-scale and scale-up manufacturing trials and support validation/verification of engineering processes (15%).
  • Analyze process data and support continuous improvement, efficiency enhancement, and cost-reduction initiatives (20%).
  • Support cross-functional engineering initiatives including safety reviews, production troubleshooting, and compliance support (10%).

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Must have 2 years of experience in process engineering or quality control role in a chemical laboratory, including experience with chemical processing methods such as distillation and purification, analytical methods, chemical testing, and laboratory compliance work.
  • Must include hands-on knowledge of chemical materials and reactions relevant to processing environments through experience with sample testing.
