POSITION TITLE: Finance and Compliance Director

CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT

STATUS: FULL TIME

JOB SUMMARY: This position is under the direct supervision of the General Manager and oversees accounting, revenue audit, compliance, Information Technology, Surveillance, Internal Controls, Budgeting, Purchasing, and Financial Reporting for the casino.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and budgets.
  • Manage accounting and revenue audit functions.
  • Monitor compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.
  • Coordinate regulatory and financial audits.
  • Review cage reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Oversee purchasing controls and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor payroll reporting and labor analytics.
  • Provide financial analysis to executive leadership
  • Assist with the building of departmental SOPโ€™s
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain confidential records.
  • Support department managers with financial reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Must have five (5) years of progressive casino leadership
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License
  • Must possess high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Tribal gaming regulations, internal controls, MICS, BSA, and applicable laws
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the gaming operations core values, objectives of the Modoc Nation, system of internal control policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act, and Privacy Act.
