Job description

OAI + Rainier by The Look Company, is a manufacturing organization with a long, established history. We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement activities and support production across multiple business units. This role ensures timely, cost-effective purchasing while maintaining supplier quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing processes: requisitions, purchase orders, confirmations, and deliveries
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and terms
  • Partner with operations to align purchasing with production schedules and forecasts
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Support inventory management and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal teams and accounting to ensure accurate purchasing records and payments
  • Identify supply chain risks and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience (manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor a plus) and MS Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of inventory management, production planning, or demand forecasting preferred

Compensation
The full pay range for this position is $30.00 – $38.00 per hour. The target hiring range is $32.00 – $36.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
