A Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing company is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, components, and services needed for production. They negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage vendor relationships, and ensure that quality standards and delivery schedules are met. Their role is crucial in controlling costs, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting efficient production processes. Additionally, they work closely with other departments to forecast needs and resolve any supply chain issues.
