Job description

Description

As our Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and deriving purchase order schedules based off production plans to account for product movement. Additionally, will maintain insight and vision of the purchase orders as they move through the supply chain, ensuring on time deliveries are achieved, and discrepancies are avoided.

What the Job Entails:

  • Reviews and processes purchase orders for items
  • Helps develop and maintain demand drawn production schedules
  • Analyzes inventories around the US to keep distributors in stock
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure order is fulfilled to specifications
  • Creates purchase orders 
  • Coordinates with Logistics for order ready dates, bookings, and revisions
  • Reviews outstanding orders to ensure timely processing times
  • Communicates with Accounting to amend invoice and receiving discrepancies
  • Audits issued purchase orders for accuracy
  • Audits purchased order delivery timelines to ensure future success
  • Assists Sales, Compliance, Logistics, and Distribution with any purchasing or supplier requests

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant experience 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Great attention to detail 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Ability to accurately enter data in a timely manner
  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
