Job description

About the Opportunity:

Venturity is partnering with one of our clients to hire a proactive and detailed Purchasing Manager to own purchasing activities and ERPdriven workflows that support our manufacturing operations. We are open to highperforming junior buyers (3–5 years of experience) who demonstrate strong potential, a growth mindset, and the ability to take increasing ownership over time.

This role is critical to ensure the timely procurement of raw materials and packaging components and will assume responsibilities currently handled by a senior team member. It is a handson, onsite position requiring close collaboration with manufacturing and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

·       Direct ownership of vendor relationships, sourcing strategy, and purchasing execution.

o   Manage all purchasing activities for raw materials, including chemicals, oils, specialty ingredients, bottles, and packaging

o   Source raw materials and packaging components to support liquid product manufacturing

    • Execute purchase orders and manage supplier relationships to ensure materials align with production schedules

·       Managed end-to-end purchasing cycles (forecasting, sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and replenishment)

·       Navigated supplier negotiations and cost controls independently

  • Act as a primary user of the ERP system (Fishbowl preferred) for purchasing, inventory, and manufacturingrelated workflows
  • Partner closely with manufacturing and operations teams to support blending, filling, and packaging activities
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and vendor data within the ERP system
  • Monitor material availability and proactively address supply issues before they impact production
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, ERP workflows, and supplier performance
  • Gradually assume purchasing and ERPrelated responsibilities currently handled by a senior internal stakeholder, with the opportunity to grow scope and ownership over time

Qualifications

·       Minimum: 7 years total experience, 3+ years managing purchasing

·       Ideal: 8–10+ years total experience with closely aligned industry exposure

    • Experience purchasing chemicals for cosmetics, hygiene, or personal care products is strongly preferred
    • Experience with packaging components is a plus
  • Experience working within an ERP system to support purchasing and manufacturing operations
  • Fishbowl ERP experience is highly preferred, but not required for highpotential candidates
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, strong work ethic, and desire to take on increasing responsibility
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced, onsite manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Must be able to work fulltime onsite; remote work is not an option
