Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for receiving, sorting, picking, labeling, and delivering inventory parts to all departments. While keeping and maintaining a clean and accurate inventory record in the warehouse and within the QAD system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Package and unpackage inventory parts after receiving them from quality control and entering them into stockroom locations
  • Pay attention to detail by making informal decisions on stock shortages, inventory discrepancies, and reporting quantity issues
  • Running inventory reports within the QAD system for inventory history information, basic cycle counting, transfers, and reversals
  • Research and resolve all key issues, adjustments, and discrepancies with the stock room to maintain inventory control and continue to keep a balance between raw materials and finished goods.
  • Must have problem solving skills for addressing inventory issues, bottlenecks, and
  • Keeping inventory controlled
  • Proficient in inventory software QAD systems in recording data analysis
  • Controlling the flow of supplies and equipment

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will not have management responsibilities.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment
  • Operate a pallet jack
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, bending, lifting for extended periods.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years' experience working in a Stockroom/Warehouse, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems/databases.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to follow written instructions and procedures with limited supervision.
  • Must possess effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language

The expected hourly rate for this role is$23.37 -$33.32, which represents the company's current good-faith estimate of compensation for this position. Actual hour rate will depend on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific work location.
