Distribution Process Improvement Specialist

The Distribution Centre Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for documenting, maintaining, and improving processes and procedures within the Distribution Centre and related Customer Service and Logistics functions.  We are growing and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of people enthusiastic about the industry.  This is an hourly position with wages ranging from $27.50 - $31.25, based on experience.

Responsibilities
 Process Documentation & Improvement
  • Document and maintain Customer Service and Logistics processes, procedures, and workflows to support consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and update SOPs, work instructions, and training materials for Customer Service Representatives and Logistics functions.
  • Review existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, communication, and customer service.
  • Provide recommendations to management and support the implementation of approved process improvements.
  • Assist the Distribution Centre Management with consistent application of established Customer Service and Logistics processes.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned by management.
Customer Service Support
  • Provide support and/or relief coverage and support to daily Customer Service operations as required, including customer inquiries, order processing, order coordination, and issue resolution.
Distribution Centre & Logistics
  • Provide support and/or relief coverage in picking, staging, and loading customer orders accurately and safely for delivery.
  • Provide support and/or relief coverage with loading, unloading, and movement of industry-related products within the Distribution Centre.
  • Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Customer Deliveries
  • Safely operate the Company Transit Van to complete customer deliveries, product transfers, and other business-related transportation requirements.
  • Verify orders prior to delivery and ensure products are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Service, Logistics, Distribution, Inventory, or a related operational environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, workflows, and training materials.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Working knowledge of customer service, order processing, inventory, receiving, picking, staging, loading, and delivery processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s License.
  • Forklift certification is considered an asset.
