Imperial Brady has a Purchasing Agent role available on-site at our Hazelwood, MO office! Join a strong and continuously evolving Purchasing group, helping to continue to grow our business. Imperial Brady is a great place to take that next step if you're eager for your next opportunity.
The Purchasing Agent will be a product expert in Food Service products, interacting with the Sales team and suppliers to meet our customers' needs. The Purchasing Agent will work closely with suppliers on pricing, inventory availability, new items, and complementary/substitute items.
You will:
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of all items for assigned vendor lines
  • Maintain a clear line of communication with our suppliers and Sales team
  • Negotiate and resolve supplier performance issues impacting costs and customer service.
  • Partner with Sales to gain insight into customer needs
  • Utilize existing tools and systems to analyze and take action on current inventory positions and trends
  • Continue improvement of KPIs for out-of-stock items and inventory turns
  • Continuously monitor demand forecasting to ensure accuracy

You have:
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 3 years of buying and inventory/supply chain experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Food Service experience is highly preferred
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships
