Job description

Inventory Specialists will maintain inventory on commodity items, finished goods and project specific gear. Perform daily, weekly and monthly audits to ensure quantities are current and accurate for procurement process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: At 5 least years of experience in a related area. Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics experience preferred.

Travel: 0-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, or 6 pm to 6 am Monday through Friday depending on assigned shift. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
  • Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
  • Provides inventory reports to receiving supervisor and procurement teams.
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
  • Maintains consistent stock of inventory.
  • Pulls and packs product based on daily orders.
  • Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
  • Utilize continuous improvement mindset and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Assists with periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Operates material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, telehandlers, hand trucks etc. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
  • Places materials at point of use in assembly and warehouse environment.
  • Maintains compliance with all OSHA and Company safety requirements.
  • Ensure proper safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Actively maintains 5S principles throughout work area.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
