Job Summary:
Trinity Power, A Sunbelt Solomon Company is seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer who will collaborate with product management, marketing, engineering, and sales to create technical materials for field use. The role involves developing training, producing documentation, and demonstrating products to enhance customer understanding and competitive positioning.
Responsibilities:
• Produce app notes, design guides, best practices docs, reference architectures and technical product training decks for use by the sales organization
• Develop and conduct technical field training for sales teams and customers
• Test and document product configurations and best practices
• Create and maintain pre-sales tools such as demos, presentations, and POCs
• Provide feedback to product management and engineering to improve competitive positioning
• Develop analysis and benchmarking of competitive solutions
• Demonstrate products at tradeshows, customer locations, video conferences and headquarters to customers and internal teams
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong technical foundation in traditional network-based security technologies and public cloud operations
• Prior experience in some or all of the following areas as it pertains to network-based security: Unified Threat Management, Next-Generation Firewall, Intrusion Protection/Detection, Advanced Persistent Threats, Anti-Malware systems, Behavioral Analytics, Advanced Threat Protection and SSL Decryption
• Quick learner: Ability to quickly come up to speed in new technology areas
• Deep knowledge on cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure
• Scripting tools including experience with Python, Puppet/Chef, & Ansible
• Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ideal background: 5 years+ experience spanning software development, quality assurance, or systems/sales engineering roles with at least 2+ years in technical/product marketing
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
