AtWabash,Welding Coordinatorsperforma variety oftasksdependingonspecificsiteor departmentneeds.Welding Coordinatorsplay a crucial role inmaintainingweld quality,assistingteammembersandassuringthe manufacturing processesflow smoothly.Theyare expected to produce high-quality work while upholding production standards.Welding Coordinatorsare required topassQualification Weld Tests and,if needed,Certification Tests depending onsite needs.Applicantsthatdo not passtheinitialWeld Test can be qualified by attendingthe WabashWeld School(internal trainingand testing),demonstratingthat they can pass theWabashWeld Test after training.Certification Tests will be administered as needed, per site specificcriteria.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary duty is toassistthe Dept. Supervisorinmeetingproduction goals as outlined by theSupervisor.

• Job functions require exercising independent judgment, managing productionflowanddirecting team members.

• Adhere to and enforceWabash safety requirements.

• Perform a variety of dutiesand team member supportrequiring knowledge of techniques,quality requirements,equipment,EngineeringPrintsand safety precautions.

• In the event ofemployee absences, mayweld assemblies tohelpmaintainproduction schedule.

• Ensures work is performed at a quality level consistent with Wabash standard practice.

• Supervised byDept. Supervisor,Sr.SupervisororManager.

• Good attendance iscritical.Must be willing and able to work overtime.

• MIG Welding(GMAW - including Pulse Transfer)

• TIG Welding(GTAW)and StickWelding (SMAW)may be possible, depending on site needs

• Plasma Cutter / GougingandOxy /FuelTorch

• Grinder / Sander

• Respirator/ ADFWelding Hoodor PAPRWeldingHood

Qualifications:

• Must haveabove averagewritten and verbal communication skills.

• High Schooldiplomaor G.E.D. equivalent is preferred for this position.

• Good people skillsrequired.

• Must haveabilityto learn anduse required computer applications.

• Possess math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Must haveabilityto understand and applyEngineeringSpecifications, Change Orders, andSafe Work Instructions.

• Good problem-solving skillsrequired.

• Mustpass Wabash Weld Test Qualification and/or any site-specific required Weld Certification Tests.

Knowledge,Training,Skillsand/orExperience:

Experience and educationaregreat to come into this position with. However,it'snotrequired, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in anyWelding Coordinatorposition. Upon receiving an offer letter from us,you'llundergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

Physical Demands:

As aWelding Coordinator, youareregularly required tostand, walk,lean, push,climb,sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handleandoperatetools or controlsfor the length of their entire shift. The employee needsfullrange of motion in their arms and hands in this position. AllWelding Coordinatorsmust be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well.SomeWelding Coordinatorsalso work in small spaces throughout their shiftandfrequentlylift and/orcarryobjects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
