Role Description


The Process Control Engineer is a new position in the Toscotec North America division providing support in expanding North American market. Toscotec is a leading manufacturer of equipment related to the manufacturing of Tissue, Paper, and Board, across the world. In this position you will program, commission, and troubleshoot both new and existing PLCs/DCSs, along with other process control equipment in the North America region. This is a hybrid position, working from the office in Green Bay, WI, remotely, and traveling to customer sites. Travel expectations range from 40 to 60 percent, up to three weeks at a time.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create process control strategies with DCS and PLC systems from new and existing projects for paper making equipment such as stock preparation, tissue/ board machine, steam/ condensate system, pneumatics, hydraulics, reel sections, and re- winders
  • Create, edit, and update HMI graphics using Rockwell platform
  • Support operations with the ability to troubleshoot issues onsite and remotely.
  • Troubleshoot, Diagnose, Tune, and Repair AC drives
  • Troubleshoot Diagnose, and repair various electrical/mechanical control systems such as limit switches, proximity switches, photo eyes, temperature transmitters, I/Ps, and control valves.
  • Understand/learn papermaking concepts and relate these concepts to control systems to solve problems and improve systems
  • Integrate with start-up commissioning team working with electrical technicians for I/O checkout
  • Integrate with project planning team to interface with the customer to provide solutions to specific needs
  • Support customer relations by understanding specific needs and finding solutions to control scenarios and safety systems


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to travel 40-60 percent within North America and Italy.
  • Ability to occasionally work nonstandard hours including 12-hour shifts, night shift, day shift, swing shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience with Rockwell based RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk Logix Echo, FactoryTalk View
  • Experience with Siemens, or ABB PLC programs is a plus.
  • Paper manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of industrial equipment including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, communication devices, and power transmission systems.
  • Knowledge of other European language: Italian/Spanish language will be a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to read, understand and to correct electrical diagrams.
  • Ability to read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Experience/knowledge of E-plan software will be a plus.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, Project, etc.) and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work in the United State
