Job description

Pulmonary Critical Care

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Hyperbaric, and Sleep Medicine is seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care faculty to expand our division. The position will include duties in the outpatient clinic, inpatient consult, and medical intensive care unit. Loma Linda University Medical Center is a tertiary care, Level 1 trauma center, and academic institution with a new state-of-the-art hospital. The Pulmonology Faculty Medical Clinic provides ambulatory care for a wide spectrum of pulmonary diseases, and is part of the Advanced Lung Disease Center. The 32-bed MICU is shared by two multidisciplinary teams, including Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows and residents from Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. The candidate will join an academic division that includes faculty at three locations, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda VA Medical Center, and Riverside University Health System. Our training programs matriculates 5 pulmonary and critical care fellows, 2-4 critical care fellows, and 2 sleep medicine fellows per year. Our research and academic interests include high altitude medicine, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, ultrasound-guided bronchoscopy, interventional pulmonology, critical care ultrasound, sedation management, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, hyperbaric medicine, sepsis, hemodynamic monitoring, critical care procedures, biomarker discovery, ethics and humanities in medicine.

We invite applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or above. Candidates should possess academic interests, a dynamic personality, and be board certified or eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Experience or interest in Hyperbaric Medicine would be highly desirable.

Compensation & Benefits: The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $330,000 - $380,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans.
