About the Role:

The Lumberyard Puller / Striker plays a critical role in the efficient operation of a lumberyard by ensuring that materials are accurately pulled, prepared, and staged for customer orders and production needs. This position requires a keen attention to detail to verify inventory, select the correct lumber and building materials, and maintain organized stock areas. The role involves physical labor, including lifting, moving, and stacking heavy materials safely and efficiently. The Lumberyard Puller / Striker also supports the yard team by communicating effectively with coworkers and customers to fulfill orders promptly and accurately. Ultimately, this position contributes to customer satisfaction and operational productivity by maintaining a smooth workflow within the lumberyard environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials up to 80 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of lumber types, building materials, and yard operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a lumberyard, warehouse, or construction environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems
  • Forklift certification or experience operating yard equipment.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material quantities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Responsibilities:
