The Business Office Manager is responsible to manage the department in a manner which enables the hospital to achieve its cash collection and accounts receivable goals.

The BOM’s responsibilities include management of the business office staff and related functions, including census, billing, and collection/follow-up, in a manner that will ensure development of an effective Business Office and Accounts Receivable Management department. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage Business Office operations to meet or exceed standards and performance and procedural requirements.
  • Review and distribute daily patient accounts billings.
  • Maintain monthly reconciliation of genera ledger accounts, providing reports as required.
  • Ensures that business office services and pertinent patient specific information are coordinated.
