What You Will Do:

As a consultantin Puerto Rico, you will play a key role in the decarbonization of energy provider clients. In your project teams, you will collaborate with our team of energy experts to support critical and complex energy transition projects. You will be responsible for the development of project results and client management. You will own the delivery of project workstreams and interact regularly with the client to ensure engagement success. This includes supporting/leading day-to-day internal team meetings and coordinating/facilitating meetings with clients and their stakeholders. You will be expected to prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to clients.

We are looking for local professionals with passion who are interested in growing their expertise and industry relationships. You must have a passion for creative problem-solving, client service, and project management within Puerto Rico.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the team in creative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients
  • Provide detailed fact findings, research, and analysis on energy-related activities (particularly energy efficiency, grid modernization, renewable energy, customer programs, new business models, and sustainability)
  • Performing and reviewing technology assessments statistical analyses, and economic analyses leveraging spreadsheets
  • Support workshops and working sessions between client departments and organizations to lead discussions, form relationships and facilitate consensus-building
  • Communicating solutions and new strategies to clients through reports and presentations
  • Organizing and preparing reports, presentations, and other documents for client deliverables
  • Working effectively with colleagues and client staff as part of a project team, delegating work and managing colleagues as needed; work independently as needed


What You Will Need:

  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to nature of client engagements.
  • Consultant II - Bachelor's in an engineering, business, economics, environmental, science or related discipline and 1+ years of relevant energy industry or energy consulting experience (excluding internships/coops, or fellowships); OrMaster's degree in an engineering, business, economics, environmental, science or related discipline and relevant course work, internships/coops, or fellowships.
  • Senior Consultant - Bachelor's in an engineering, business, economics, environmental, science or related discipline and 3+ years of relevant energy industry or energy consulting experience (excluding internships/coops, or fellowships); OrMaster's degree in an engineering, business, economics, environmental, science or related discipline and 1+ years relevant course work, internships/coops, or fellowships.
  • Currently reside in Puerto Rico or ability to relocate at own expense.
  • Must have bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated experience leading small teams, including advanced project management skills.
  • Client service orientation.
  • Experienced in developing and delivering presentations to executive audiences.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with data analytics.
  • Strong interest in business strategy, energy efficiency, and energy sustainability.
  • An inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement.
  • Tireless attention to detail in all prior experience (academic and professional).
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate as a part of team, as well as to work independently.
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines.
  • Highly developed organizational and management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work daily onsite at Client Office and client site locations in Puerto Rico.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • PMP Certification.
  • Professional work experience with FEMA or CDBG funded programs in Puerto Rico.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience creating models within Excel and/or experience with R or other programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Knowledge and experience in commercial energy providers industry topics such as: energy efficiency, electric transportation, renewable energy, electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, natural gas systems, wholesale markets.
  • Understanding of business and project management fundamentals.
  • Excellent at visualizing data, synthesizing insights, and storytelling with data.
  • A history of successful, creative problem-solving.
  • Excitement to explore the underlying cause of the observation/result.
