Tax Accountant (Intern or Recent Graduate)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an intern or recent graduate to gain valuable hands-on experience while working closely with a CPA.

In this role, you will assist with the preparation of income tax returns, accounting and bookkeeping services, financial statement preparation, client communications, and various administrative tasks. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. We also offer paid vacation and holidays, as well as the opportunity to participate in the company's retirement plan.

Compensation:

$16 - $20 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of federal, state, and city tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts/estates

  • Preparation of client financial statements

  • Assist with bookkeeping work

  • Preparation of clients' quarterly payroll tax returns

  • Assist with tax research

  • Assist with other professional and general office duties


Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • General knowledge of accounting principles and/or income tax preparation

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
