We are seeking a dynamic Communications Manager at the Supervising Associate level to join our EY Americas Go-To-Market Public Relations (PR) team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing communications for our Private Equity Industry Group. This role requires a candidate with demonstrated experience and interest in external communications, including but not limited to media relations, executive visibility, social media, events, speaking engagements and more.

This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Your expertise will drive internal collaboration, enhance our market presence, and support our business objectives. Your key responsibilities

As part of a highly collaborative team, youโ€™ll be contributing to and supporting the execution and management of communications programs for the Private Equity Industry Group at EY. Youโ€™ll help us amplify our brand, elevate our sectorโ€™s insights and reach internal and external target audiences.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Demonstrated success in activating the PR cycle: developing media relations strategies, tracking relevant news stories and outlets, identifying mediagenic content and opportunities, researching and vetting reporters, writing persuasive pitches, engaging with media, supporting spokespeople on interviews (prepping, staffing)
  • Capacity to serve as a point of contact with reporters and PR agencies
  • Ability to draft, obtain approval for and execute messaging for briefing books
  • Excellent research, writing and editing skills
  • Strong executive presence, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Be able to take initiative and work efficiently in a remote setting
  • Detail-oriented management of communications metrics reporting, documentation and tracking
  • Ability to see projects through end to end, effectively managing and prioritizing deadlines
Ideally, youโ€™ll also have
  • PR agency management experience, either as an agency professional or as an in-house client
  • Experience navigating a matrixed global organization, including teaming with marketing and other enablement teams
  • Skills to leverage available tools and technology to measure impact of communication initiatives
  • Ability to be recognized for your communications knowledge, insight and experience within and outside of business unit
  • Ability to act as a strategic communications consultant with stakeholders when key business issues are discussed
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in PR or communication or equivalent experience
  • five to six years of relevant PR experience

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where youโ€™ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $72,100 to $134,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $86,600 to $153,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
