Oral Health Educator

Position Overview
The Oral Health Educator plays a pivotal role in promoting oral health awareness and education in schools and early learning centers. This position involves developing and delivering training programs, creating resources, and equipping school nurses, children, and families with the knowledge and tools to foster strong oral hygiene practices. The role also includes managing program activities, preparing educational materials, and assisting with grant proposals and budgets to secure funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct engaging workshops, seminars, and training sessions for school nurses on oral health best practices.

  • Create educational materials such as pamphlets, posters, and digital content tailored for school and early learning environments.

  • Collaborate with school administrators, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to support cohesive oral health initiatives.

  • Advocate for preventative oral health care, including regular screenings and awareness campaigns.

  • Provide ongoing guidance to school nurses, addressing questions and offering solutions for oral health challenges.

  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and feedback.

  • Assist in writing grant proposals, preparing budgets, and distributing oral health education materials.

Qualifications
