Job description

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide skill-building, support, and mentoring services to clients with mental health needs, helping them develop independence and achieve meaningful life goals.
 
This is a contracted position requiring professionalism, reliability, strong documentation skills, ability to travel, valid driver's license and registration, and reliable transportation.
Minimum Qualifications (All Required):
Education & Documentation:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to mental health, social work, psychology, human services, or medical field.
  • Ability to provide OFFICIAL college or university transcripts (no unofficial transcripts accepted).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Transportation Requirements:
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle available at all times.
    • Rideshare services (Uber/Lyft), taxis, buses, or public transit do NOT qualify.

Certifications & Training (Candidate must pay upfront):
  • Ability to complete and pay for a Federal Background Check.
  • Ability to complete and pay for HIPAA Training.
  • Ability to complete and pay for the 16-hour Nevada Provider Training (may be reimbursable after onboarding).
  • Must provide proof of in-person CPR certification (online-only CPR courses not accepted).

Contract & State Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work as an independent contractor (1099).
  • Must provide ICBL proof through the State of Nevada within 60 days of contracting.
  • Must be able to begin providing services within 30 days of hire.

Service Setting Requirement:
  • Must be willing to work in both in-home and community settings, providing 2 to 3 hour sessions per client.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or behavioral needs.
  • Strong communication, boundary-setting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to document services clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychosocial rehabilitation and basic skills training services according to client treatment goals.
  • Deliver services in clients’ homes and in community-based settings, maintaining 2-hour service durations per client.
  • Support clients with daily living skills, emotional regulation, coping strategies, social skills, and community integration.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and protect confidentiality.
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain active certifications and state-required training.
