To thrive as a Physical Therapist (PT or sometimes listed as 'Ptr'), you need a thorough understanding of human anatomy, movement science, and therapeutic exercise techniques, typically acquired through a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and state licensure. Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and documentation software is important for daily practice. Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and patience help you build trust with patients and adjust individualized treatment plans. These competencies are crucial for delivering effective, evidence-based care and facilitating optimal physical recovery for your clients.
