Job description

About This Role
In this position, you will stock and merchandise our many beverage products in retail accounts in a specific area. Merchandisers ensure that all beverage sections, end caps, racks, and displays are filled for consumers to purchase and enjoy.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver, fill, merchandise, and rotate products at customer accounts.
  • Foster positive relationships with all customers and personnel by providing superior customer service at all times.
  • Use equipment to transport products (e.g., U Boats, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.).
  • Keep back-room stock in neat and orderly condition.
  • Maintain package integrity and quality standards in the marketplace.
  • Display promotional material such as signs and banners in accounts.
  • On premise merchandisers: Assist with/work wine events (tastings, seminars, dinners, etc.) after regular work hours.

Position Requirements
  • Schedule: Saturday-Sunday ONLY.
    • Must be flexible with start time.
  • Travel Amount: Med - High
  • Physical Requirements:
    • This position is labor intensive, requiring lifting and loading from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly over 8-12 hour work period.
    • Also requires pushing and pulling over 800 pounds, bending, reaching and squatting while merchandising and moving products.
  • Exercise safe practices and work environment.
  • Follow a specified route in personal vehicle.
  • Service accounts during designated times established by management.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Improve and build customer relationships at the retail level.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Any other tasks as requested by management.
  • Assume accountability for all equipment used to deliver and merchandise an assigned route

Candidate Requirements
  • Communication Skills: High. Can communicate respectfully to address store issues to management.
  • Self Motivated: High. Can operate under minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work until the entire job is done, including in adverse weather conditions, overtime, weekends and holidays as business dictates.
  • Good Math Skills Required/Capable of calculating margin/Mark-up percentages.
  • Personal: Pass the background check, drug test and physical capabilities test.
  • Driving: Valid and clean NC License and Insurance.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State regulations governing the sale and distribution of Alcoholic beverages in North Carolina.
