Up to $50-62/hour | Cartersville, GA | Full-Time Hours | 2026-2027 School Year | School Psychologist position supporting student mental health, conducting evaluations, and collaborating with educators and families to promote academic and behavioral success.
Position Details:
  • Caseload within Bartow County Schools District
  • Full Time - Starting July 2026
  • 1.0 FTE, M-F
About the Role
Hello, School Psychologists! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time School Psychologist for a school setting in Cartersville, GA. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in student success by leading evaluations, supporting student wellness, and driving collaborative, student-centered solutions. This is a great fit for both experienced school-based psychologists and those transitioning into schools.

What You’ll Do
  • Provides comprehensive service to multiple schools.
  • Administers standardized and/or supplemental assessments to measure the intellectual, adaptive, academic, social, and emotional development of students and/or determine eligibility for services in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assesses students' functional capabilities and home and/or classroom environment.
  • Provides differential diagnosis in areas of intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders.
  • Provides appropriate recommendations and intervention for at-risk students.
  • Writes comprehensive psychological reports that adhere to local guidelines.
  • Develops behavior plans, curriculum modifications, etc. in order to implement treatment programs.
  • Intervenes in occurrences of inappropriate behavior of students in order to assist students in modifying such behavior and developing successful interpersonal skills.
  • Utilizes available resources in the school and in the community.
  • Demonstrates the ability to implement and conduct individual and/or group counseling sessions.
  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
