At Serenity, you will find something increasingly rare in today’s mental health landscape: a practice where clinical excellence, meaningful assessment work, and a strong sense of purpose come together. Our co-founders, Dr. Hien Hoang and Dr. Thalia Kirimlis, left successful careers to create a practice dedicated to serving immigrant communities, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other underserved populations. Every aspect of our organization has been built intentionally—with our clients, clinicians, and mission at the center.

We are seeking a licensed psychologist who enjoys both therapy and assessment work. In this role, you will provide therapy and conduct a variety of psychological evaluations, including comprehensive assessments, ADHD and Autism evaluations, veteran disability evaluations, and immigration evaluations. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in our training program by supervising doctoral externs and supporting their professional development.

This position is ideal for someone who wants a diverse and meaningful caseload, values ongoing learning, and enjoys making a difference in the lives of clients from a wide range of backgrounds. What you will do
  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy services.
  • Conduct a wide range of psychological evaluations, including comprehensive diagnostic assessments, ADHD and autism evaluations, veteran disability evaluations, and immigration evaluations.
  • Optional opportunity to contribute to the training program through supervision of doctoral externs.
  • Collaborate closely with co-founders Dr. Hien Hoang and Dr. Thalia Kirimlis, both licensed psychologists.
  • Participate in peer consultation, case discussions, and ongoing professional development activities.

What we are looking for
  • Active licensure as a psychologist in Maryland (DC or Virginia). PSYPAC, DC, and VA are strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience with psychological assessment preferred

  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged
