Psych Solutions is seeking a part-time Psychological Associate for a hybrid role in Modesto, CA.
Position Summary
The Psychological Associate will support evidence-based forensic psychological evaluations within a high-accountability practice. This supervised role emphasizes objective assessment, structured candidate evaluations, and the preparation of clear, legally defensible reports for high-stakes pre-employment and forensic contexts.
Working in coordination with licensed professionals, you will contribute to case conceptualization and report writing, ensuring assessment practices remain ethical, standardized, and aligned with referral questions and administrative timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological assessment measures, maintaining strict adherence to administration and integrity procedures.
Conduct structured clinical interviews and behavioral observations to support objective evaluation of candidate suitability and risk-relevant factors.
Draft comprehensive forensic and pre-employment evaluation reports that synthesize assessment findings into clear, professionally written conclusions.
Address referral questions directly, ensuring recommendations are supported by objective data and presented in a tone appropriate for third-party review.
Participate in supervised case review activities, including assessment of response validity, risk formulation, and preparation of case materials for potential legal or administrative use.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Clinical, Counseling, Forensic, or School Psychology, or currently enrolled in an APA-accredited doctoral program (Ph.D./Psy.D.) with an emphasis on assessment.
Eligible for registration as a Psychological Associate, Psychological Assistant, or equivalent supervised role through the applicable state licensing board.
Strong foundational knowledge of objective personality assessment and cognitive testing, with demonstrated psychometric reasoning.
Demonstrated ability to write precise, objective forensic-style reports with professional clarity and minimal reliance on unnecessary jargon.
Commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality, including the ability to maintain objectivity in high-stakes, administrative and forensic environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting public safety, law enforcement, or other high-liability pre-employment psychological screening processes.
Experience identifying and addressing response bias, defensiveness, or indications of non-credible responding in assessment data.
Prior involvement in forensic report writing, case conceptualization, or supervised consultation within legal or administrative settings.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $40.00 - $50.00
