What is a Psychic Reader job?

A Psychic Reader is someone who uses intuition, spiritual insight, or divination tools like tarot cards, astrology, or clairvoyance to provide guidance and answers to clients' questions. They help people gain clarity on various aspects of life, including relationships, career, and personal growth. Psychic Readers may work in person, over the phone, or online, offering readings based on their abilities and practices. Their aim is to offer insight and support, rather than predict the future with absolute certainty.

What is a typical work environment like for a Psychic Reader?

Psychic Readers often work in diverse environments, including metaphysical shops, private studios, wellness centers, or from home offices for remote readings. Many professionals provide services both in-person and online, using phone or video platforms to connect with clients. Work schedules can be flexible, with some readers seeing clients by appointment while others participate in events or fairs. Collaboration with other wellness practitioners or participation in spiritual communities can also be part of the role, providing networking and learning opportunities. This flexible and client-focused environment allows for a varied and rewarding practice tailored to individual strengths.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Psychic Reader position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Psychic Reader, you need strong intuitive abilities, a deep understanding of metaphysical practices, and excellent interpersonal skills, often honed through self-study, mentorship, or relevant training programs. Familiarity with tools such as tarot cards, astrology software, or palmistry charts is frequently required, and some readers pursue certifications from recognized spiritual organizations. Outstanding active listening, empathy, and nonjudgmental communication help build trust and rapport with clients. These skills are essential to deliver meaningful guidance, foster client confidence, and maintain professional credibility in a sensitive field.

Job description

Who We Are:

Outlook Amusements operates a leading B2C consumer marketplace through its flagship brand, California Psychics. For over 30 years, the company has been dedicated to connecting individuals with trusted, expert guidance. Through personalized psychic readings and life guidance delivered by top-rated professional advisors, we help people gain clarity, confidence, and direction at meaningful moments in their lives.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a Director of Product Management to join our team.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and partnering closely with the Executive Team, the Director of Product will lead the execution and evolution of our digital marketplace platform. This leader will translate strategic vision into prioritized roadmaps and deliver measurable growth across acquisition, engagement, matching, conversion, and retention.
This is a builder role that will operate deeply in discovery, requirements development, analytics, and sprint execution while strengthening the product discipline, decision clarity, and operating systems that enable the team to scale effectively.
The right candidate leads through action: identifying friction early, proposing solutions, installing better processes, and owning outcomes from concept through measurable business impact.

What You’ll Do:

Marketplace Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

  • Develop and maintain a clear, outcome-driven roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Optimize supply and demand dynamics across the advisor and customer ecosystem
  • Improve marketplace liquidity, conversion rates, and session utilization
  • Define KPIs tied to growth, engagement, retention, lifetime value, and revenue
  • Frame roadmap initiatives around clear problem statements, user insight, and measurable business outcomes
  • Partner with Data and Finance to define and monitor core business metrics directly influenced by Product
  • Lead structured platform and roadmap reviews with Engineering to ensure scalability and long-term integrity
  • Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and progress to cross-functional stakeholders

Product Discovery & Execution

  • Lead customer research, usability testing, and data-driven discovery initiatives
  • Translate business strategy into detailed PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design through sprint cycles to ensure clarity and delivery excellence
  • Participate actively in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination
  • Lead at least one cross-functional discovery sprint per quarter to deepen user and market understanding
  • Ensure all major initiatives include defined success metrics and structured post-launch impact evaluation
  • Ensure timely, high-quality launches and measurable outcomes

Growth & Optimization

  • Improve customer acquisition funnels and conversion paths
  • Identify friction points in onboarding, advisor selection, and session flow
  • Drive experimentation through A/B testing and behavioral analytics
  • Optimize subscription, promotional, and retention strategies
  • Deliver clear reporting that connects product launches to business performance

Intelligent Product Development

  • Identify opportunities to enhance advisor-customer matching through personalization and AI-driven recommendations
  • Explore automation opportunities that improve advisor workflows and customer experience
  • Evaluate build vs. buy solutions for AI-powered tools and integrations
  • Ensure responsible, measurable implementation of intelligent features

Team & Process Leadership

  • Establish a practical, scalable Product Operating Framework that standardizes discovery, prioritization, and roadmap tracking
  • Define clear decision ownership across Product, Engineering, and Design to reduce ambiguity and increase velocity
  • Develop Product Managers to independently own end-to-end initiatives tied to measurable outcomes
  • Identify and replace outdated processes with streamlined, scalable alternatives
  • Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, and outcome-driven thinking

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:

  • 8–12+ years of product management experience
  • Experience building or scaling a consumer marketplace or two-sided platform strongly preferred
  • Experience with subscription, usage-based, or transactional revenue models
  • Proven success optimizing web and/or mobile customer journeys
  • Exposure to AI-driven personalization, recommendations, or automation is a plus
  • Strong partnership experience with Engineering leadership
  • Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to ship products that drive measurable revenue impact
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field

Working Conditions:

  • Continuous work on a personal computer.
  • Ability to work from home including a stable internet connection.
  • Travel to headquarter office in Los Angeles when needed.

What We Offer:

At Outlook Amusements, we foster a collaborative and supportive virtual environment where your success is our success. From day one, you'll feel welcomed by a team that’s deeply committed to helping you thrive. We take business seriously, focus on delivering exceptional service to our customers, and make room for fun along the way!

The starting base pay for this position is $180,000 – $200,000 per year. The actual base pay offered may vary based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.

In addition to the base pay, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus as part of the compensation package.

Outlook Amusements offers a robust benefits package including company subsidized Medical, Dental, and Vision plans, 401K with an employer match, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off and more!
