They assist with daily living activities, observe and report patient behavior, and help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Psychiatry Assistants also play a key role in crisis intervention and may participate in therapeutic activities under supervision. Their work is essential in hospitals, residential mental health facilities, and outpatient clinics.

What are common challenges faced by psychiatry assistants when supporting patients with mental health conditions?

The Ideal Candidate

You are:

  • Clinically confident and comfortable managing complex cases
  • Compassionate and patient-centered
  • Detail-oriented and compliant with prescribing regulations
  • Collaborative and team-focused
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for patients with dual diagnoses

If you are looking for a role where you can combine chronic pain management and mental health treatment in a supportive, mission-driven environment — we’d love to connect with you.
