Job description

Orlando Psychiatric Associates (OPA) is a private practice with an immediate opening for the Kissimmee office for:

  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • ...OR...
  • Psychiatrist (MD)
  • With at least 1 year of experience to join our team and willing to work in Kissimmee, FL.

The individual ultimately hired for this position will be responsible for evaluating patients and achieving medication management. Join an excellent and caring team of mental health professionals who value the compassion and expertise of Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatrists.

OPA is a busy psychiatric practice offering mental health care including counseling and medication management to children (as young as 4), adolescents, and adults. The practice is 100% outpatient based. Primary importance is given to the care of patients as well as their families. We are looking for an individual with strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills. This is a full-time salaried position, reimbursement package health insurance, liability insurance, CME'S, etc. Reimbursement is negotiable. Mon-Fri schedule; no weekends, no night calls. Salary is based on experience and skills. The location that the PMHNP or Psychiatrist will be hired for is KISSIMMEE, FL. Spanish/English Bilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
  • Prescribe all necessary medications and achieve personalized treatment plans
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
  • Complete progress notes daily
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals
  • Communicate with collaborating Therapist or Specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in psychiatric field
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (EHR, Telehealth)
