  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Weekend rotation required

What You'll Do

As a Psychiatric RN, you will play a vital role in helping patients stabilize, heal, and achieve their treatment goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adolescent and adult behavioral health patients.
  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Document patient care thoroughly through daily nursing notes and electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment that protects patient dignity and rights.
  • Build trusting relationships with patients and their families.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning.
  • Support and mentor fellow nursing staff while promoting quality patient care.

QualificationsRequired
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN License eligible to practice in Texas.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Passion for patient-centered behavioral healthcare.
Preferred
  • Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or pediatric nursing.
  • Previous inpatient psychiatric experience.
  • Knowledge of mental health assessments and crisis intervention.
