Adult Psych RN - 36hrs. Nights & EOW Unit
Name: Epstein 5 Adult Psych.Brief
Unit Description: 30-bed unit, adults ages 18-65. We treat
patients with diverse types of mental health issues (anxiety, depression,
suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality
disorder, dual diagnosis patients: Detox here on the unit while treating mental
health issues), and some medically acute patients (IVs, CPAPs, Wound Care,
diabetic care).Years of Experience Required:
2 years minimum of inpatient adult psych experience.Skill
Sets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication
dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in the use of psychotropic
medications and side effects. Able to assume the role of charge nurse; able to
complete admissions and discharges. Competent in the use of IV pumps and care
of diabetic patients.Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1
RN to 7 or 8 patients.Patient
Population: Adults
ages 18 to 65 years.Bed
Count: 30.EMR
(Charting System): EPIC.Floating
Required: Yes.Rotating
Shifts Required: Yes, for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p &
