Location: Holland
Assignment Length: 8 Weeks (Potential Extension)
Shift: Nights | 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week | Every 3rd Weekend Required

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for an 8-week assignment in Holland, MI. This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable nurse who has prior experience in a locked psychiatric unit and can quickly integrate into a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

You will play a critical role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining safety and therapeutic standards within the unit.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment, including ligature safety awareness

  • Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to behavioral crises

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge planning

  • Adhere to hospital policies, patient rights, and safety standards


Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

  • Active Michigan RN License (or obtained by end of orientation)

  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (or obtained within 60 days of hire)

  • Mandatory: Recent experience in a locked psychiatric unit

  • Ability to work independently and “hit the ground running”
