Job description

Rever Grand is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to be a part of our dedicated team that provides services to the I/DD community. As a DSP, you will support individuals with their personal basic needs and daily activities, and you will help them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Requirements
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Consent to and pass a required State Background Check.
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Be free of convictions of founded allegations of abuse
• Experience or sincere interest in working with adults or children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities within a setting promoting community integration, normalization, and treatment of all people with dignity and respect.
• Ability to actively participate in developing and implementing plans to meet the needs of the individuals served.
• Ability to communicate with individuals and their families.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) and follow protocols as specified in the individual support plan (ISP) and other support documents.
• Ability to document daily activities and goals worked on with the individual at the end of each shift using a smart device that is capable of staying current with OS/iOS operating systems.
• Ability to understand requirements of maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding individual information.
• Ability to complete and maintain the required, state-mandated training by the deadlines provided.
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of high school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or caretaker is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly stoop, bend, lift and carry at least fifty (50) pounds of weight without assistance.
• Ability to lift and/or transfer physically challenged individuals who require such assistance to remain active and mobile while engaged in household or community activities.
Other Requirements:
Must maintain a working smart device that is capable of staying current with required OS/iOS operation systems, internet access, and a valid email account.
