Job description

Security Guard
PSC Group is seeking a motivated and dependable Security Guard to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and customers. The Security Officer is responsible for monitoring site activities, conducting routine patrols, enforcing site policies, and responding appropriately to security-related situations.
The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, customer-focused, and able to remain calm while making sound decisions in fast-paced situations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Conduct routine and random patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor site access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and contractors entering the facility.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter unauthorized activity and promote a safe work environment.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm and professional manner.
• Complete accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Enforce site-specific policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, contractors, and customers.
• Communicate effectively with site management, operations personnel, emergency responders, and fellow team members.
• Assist with emergency response procedures as directed.
• Identify and report potential safety, security, or operational concerns.
• Perform Daily Tank and catch basin inspections
• Perform Daily Drainage and/or outfall inspections
• Maintain an Inventory of PPE for site visitors
• Monitor CCTV cameras
• Monitor weather and alert crews of potential risks
• Conduct Routine vehicle inspections and/or searches
• Provide basic first aid if trained and certified
• Inspect Fire Extinguishers Monthly
• Receive and/or send mail deliveries. Inspect packages for suspicious contents
Qualifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while exercising good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain professional and composed during emergencies and challenging situations.
• Basic computer and report-writing skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Work Schedule:
12 Hour Rotating Shift (Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays)
