Job description

As a Migration & Modernization Partner Solutions Architect at AWS, you will help shape and deliver a strategy to accelerate customer migrations and modernizations to AWS through our partner ecosystem. Emphasis is on working directly with ISV and SI partners to build AI-powered migration and modernization strategies that help customers move and modernize business-critical workloads - including Windows/.NET, SQL Server, and virtualized/VMware environments - on AWS.
This is a hands-on, partner-facing role with a forward-deployed engineering mindset. You will embed directly with partners and their customer engagements - writing code, building integrations, and troubleshooting alongside partner teams - while integrating AWS Transform capabilities and Generative AI to accelerate the migration lifecycle

As the right candidate, you possess in-depth technical skills across cloud migration, modernization, and AI/ML, plus the partner development and customer-facing skills to represent AWS to customers, partners, developers, and architects. You think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Key job responsibilities
- Architect, build, and validate AI-powered migration and modernization solutions across .NET, SQL Server, and virtualized/VMware workloads using AWS Transform and AWS services (Data & Analytics, GenAI, Observability, Security)
- Embed hands-on with ISV and SI partners (forward-deployed engineering) - writing code, building integrations, and unblocking live migrations, then turning field learnings into repeatable, reusable patterns
- Design GenAI and agentic AI architectures - RAG pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, automated code analysis and refactoring, and dependency mapping - that reduce migration timelines and manual effort
- Enable partners to integrate AWS Transform APIs into their platforms and layer GenAI on top; guide foundation model selection, prompt engineering, and GenAIOps (guardrails, evaluation, responsible AI)
- Collaborate with the AWS Transform service team and cross-functional AWS teams (Partner Core, WWSO GTM, field) to scale partner-led programs and inform the product roadmap
- Publish reference architectures, technical content, and thought leadership; enable the broader SA and partner community
