Job description

This position performs general maintenance work primarily with facility, infrastructure, and grounds maintenance and repairs. The job will include preparation work needed to ensure compliance with government regulations regarding agricultural worker housing prior to housing use each harvest season. This position provides repair and maintenance to outlying buildings, underground portions of irrigation systems, propane heating/ frost systems, drinking water delivery systems, and orchard and campus landscaping. This position is responsible for product food safety, legality and quality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Landscape experience or horticulture is preferred.
  • Previous experience operate orchard and landscape power equipment such as small tractors, pick-ups, fruit hauling trucks, ATV/UTV's, mowers, sweepers, hedgers, tillers and front-end loaders preferred.
  • Experience with Operation of maintenance-related hand tools such as loppers, pruners, chain saws, leaf blowers, weed eaters, cultivators, and hedge trimmers required.
  • Work flexible hours including weekends, during inclement weather in an outdoor orchard environment.
  • Lift, push, pull, up to 50lbs.
  • Must pass a Driver Record Review.
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check.
  • This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.
