Job Description:

Missile Solutions is seeking a qualified General Provisions (GPs) and Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) Specialist with demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and modifying contract and subcontract clauses in a highly regulated environment. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate incorporation and flow-down of mandatory contractual provisions, including applicable General Provisions, Terms & Conditions, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements, within supplier and subcontractor agreements.

Key responsibilities include partnering closely with Procurement, Legal, Project Management, and Operations to review and implement contractual provisions; validate required clause flow-downs; identify and mitigate contractual risk; and maintain documentation that supports audit readiness, traceability, and compliance with applicable regulations and internal controls.

The Specialist will play an essential role in strengthening procurement compliance processes and ensuring the organization consistently meets the highest standards of contractual integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational discipline within the defense industry.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with the procurement team, legal department, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesiveness, acceptability and alignment with company's values.

  • Interpret prime contract requirements and ensure accurately negotiated GPs, T&Cs and flow-down documents of mandatory clauses to lower-tier suppliers/subcontractors.

  • Negotiate GPs and T&Cs with suppliers to create custom contract clauses and language as required and store in company system for buyer's use.

  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to procurement staff on contracts/subcontracts impacts and risks in the use of negotiated GPs and T&Cs with suppliers.

  • Review government contracts and subcontracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Conducts extensive market research and investigate Corporate/Segments best business practices and approaches to incorporate standardized GPs and T&Cs.

  • Maintain modified GPs and T&Cs library, templates, checklists, approval matrices and manage version control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant Government Contract and Compliance experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Government Contract and Compliance experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related Government Contract and Compliance experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of government contracts and procurement principles contained in FAR/DFARS, and the ability to research regulatory requirements of customer contracts.

  • Proficient with MS Word (advanced redlining), Excel, SharePoint/Teams, tabulating and charting data with complex data sets.

  • While working in a highly regulated environment must have a strong personal commitment to ethics and integrity in all tasks including internal/external compliance and audit actions.

  • Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Clear, concise writing and strong verbal communication; possess business-oriented judgment with the ability to escalate issues with options and impacts.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $84,000 - $156,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $73,000 - $135,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
