Description
Sigma Consulting Group, Inc., one of Baton Rouge’s “Best Places To Work”, is looking for a PLS / Survey Department Manager to oversee Geomatics/Surveying initiatives in the Baton Rouge area.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
  • Promote Sigma’s “Quality First” management approach within all aspects of the surveying business
  • Serve as Sigma’s Surveying Supervising Professional for Louisiana
  • Collaborate with management to generate a survey department vision and implement long and short term goals for the surveying discipline within Sigma and Waggoner
  • Develop and monitor project scope, budget, schedule, and quality control for survey projects from the proposal stage through final deliverables
  • Foster and grow client relationships / business development
  • Serve as the Survey Discipline Manager for all survey personnel
  • Develop and monitor department operating budgets
  • Reports to the Sigma Baton Rouge Office Manager

What you'll need
  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of Louisiana with the ability and desire to obtain licenses in Mississippi and Florida
  • 6+ years’ experience in topographic and boundary surveying and survey project management 
  • Experience with Louisiana DOTD and/or NRCS projects are preferrable 
  • Proficiency with Trimble GPS / Trimble Business Center and Leica Total Station equipment / Leica Infinity software is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required
