Technical Staff, Engineering Technologist (Signal Integrity)From applied research to advanced engineering, the Engineering Technologist team has the expertise to shape ground-breaking products, material, and processes. And we work with colleagues across the business to ensure our products always lead the way.We are seeking a Principal Signal Integrity (SI) Engineer to serve as a technical leader and subject-matter expert for high-speed system design. This role is responsible for defining SI strategy, driving architectural decisions, and solving the most complex signal challenges across advanced multi-gigabit platforms. As a senior individual contributor, you will influence product direction, establish best practices, and lead technical initiatives across multiple teams and programs.Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Technical Staff on our Engineering Technologist team in Austin, Texas.What youโ€™ll achieve:As a Technical Staff Engineering Technologist (Signal Integrity), youโ€™ll provide expert guidance on technology investigations, prototyping strategies, and data generation that drive product decisions. Youโ€™ll synthesize insights from experiments and literature to advise leaders and shape roadmaps. You will mentor technologists and contrtargets, and margin requirements- Lead end-to-end SI ownership from concept and architecture through design, validation, and production- Drive pre-layout and post-layout simulation methodologies and sign-off criteria across the organization- Develop and standardize design rules and best practices for:- PCB stack-up and materials selection- High-speed routing constraints- Return path continuity and via design- Crosstalk and noise mitigation strategies
